About Us..
Hello!! We are Rodney and Quilenthia! Welcome to our cozy corner of the internet. Dearest Garden was born during the height of the 2020 pandemic. We always wanted to grow our own food and I’ve wanted a large garden for awhile. I’d purchase plants for the porch now and again. We would walk around the garden centers dreaming of our future garden. Pointing out all the plants we wanted and gazing at the fruit trees. The change for that to become a reality happened when we had more time on our hands. We bought all the plants, started all the seeds, and haven’t looked back since.
We planted sunflowers around greenhouse. This was our first ever planting them time and it was beautiful!
Gardening has become both of our passions. One that we hope to pass down to our children. It has been our way to escape, relax, and slow down. Witnessing a seed grow into something that our family can eat, has allowed us to experience more gratitude and appreciation for God’s creations. As well as the satisfaction from watching something grow before your eyes.
Each blog entry, social post, and video are all glimpses into what is happening in our Dearest Garden. The vibes nature gives us is sometimes difficult to captivate in words so we hope the imagery we share reflects that feeling.
